I had a great childhood growing up in Minnesota and South Dakota.  I treasure the time spent on my Grandpas farm and outdoors adventures in the world before cell phones.   I lived and breathed sports as a young man.   I was awarded a football scholarship to the University of South Dakota.   However, after realizing that playing in NFL was not in my future, I struggled to pick a major and ended up transferring to Colorado Mesa University for their Environmental Restoration and Waste Management degree.   I had to re-earn a football scholarship, but after my first year I secured a full scholarship and graduated a few years later with a B.S. in Environmental Restoration and Waste Management.

After graduating, I worked as an Environmental Scientist for a consulting firm in the Midwest.  I loved the work but missed the Rocky Mountains and a certain someone that lived there (still married to this day).    This is how I started my real estate business and ultimately found out I was wired for more than being an employee on a corporate career path.    Only able to secure part-time environmental work when I returned to Colorado, I earned my real estate license.   Over the next decade I sold over 300 homes and bought 10 houses of my own, which I privately managed (rentals) under my own LLC.

After a successful run in real estate, I bought a startup waste consulting business opportunity and was one of 200 affiliate offices across the country.   The next 14 years were a financial windfall for me and my family (wife with 2 sons) as my business grew nearly every year.

Ultimately, these successes led me to want to become a Franchise Consultant and help others achieve their business ownership dreams.  Business ownership has changed my life and my family’s life in dramatic positive ways.  Not only financially, but by proving to oneself that you can achieve whatever you put your mind too.

I bring this approach to life and to franchise consulting; the mission is always to guide the candidate to fulfill their goals by making educated decisions along the way.    We live in the best country in the world and one foundation aspect of American greatness is the free market.  Franchising (possibly more than other business system) fully embraces free enterprise principles by allowing well qualified individuals to buy a “business in a box”.   By following a proven process and having the necessary grit, one can launch a scalable business even though they have no experience in that industry.   I look forward to helping you on your franchise journey – let free market ring!
