Michael Forrest- My Story

Growing up in the Boston area, I was immersed in the world of franchising early on. My family and I took a leap of faith, becoming multi-unit franchisees of an international coffee brand. For a decade, we poured our hearts and souls into those businesses, learning not just the mechanics of running a franchise, but the profound significance of owning something that's yours. The process became our lifeline, our guide through the ups and downs.

Every day was a lesson in resilience and dedication. I remember the joy and pride we felt when we opened our doors for the first time. The sound of the old Casio cash register clicking as our first customer pai —it was like music to our ears, a symphony of hope and possibility. Those early days were filled with nervous excitement, a rollercoaster of emotions as we navigated the challenges and celebrated the small victories.

Later, I moved to Atlanta and transitioned into a role where I could support other franchisees working for franchise brands, drawing from my own journey. Having walked in their shoes, I understood the whirlwind of thoughts and feelings they were going through—the fear of "what if", the thrill of success, the weight of responsibility, and the joy of prosperity. This unique perspective allowed me to connect with them on a level that went beyond business; it was about sharing dreams and aspirations.

The memories of those times still resonate with me deeply. The laughter, putting in the work, the sense of community—it all shaped who I am today. Now, as I continue my career, my mission is to help others make that pivotal shift into business ownership. I guide them, support them, and celebrate with them as they take control of their futures. It's a journey filled with emotion, but it's one that's incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
