New York shaped me. It wasn’t just where I grew up; it’s where I forged the kind of friendships that stick, the kind you call at 3 a.m. Then, at 17, my world tilted on its axis when I met Judy. She’s not just my wife; she’s the constant, the anchor, my best friend since high school. Iona College followed, a stepping stone to building a life with Judy. We married in 1990, and then came Ryan and Gabby. They’ve grown into remarkable adults, each with their own distinct fire. Ryan’s in Denver, building his life with Taryn, and they’ve given us Dane, my grandson, who’s stolen a significant piece of my heart. Gabby’s thriving in Fort Lauderdale, a force of nature, beautiful inside and out.
I know every parent says it, but they really are exceptional. (Both are in franchising) Jupiter, Florida, became our haven in 2003. Empty nesters living a pretty sweet life, with friends in both Florida and New York. It’s mostly sunshine and relaxation, punctuated by Judy’s occasional, shall we say, ‘spirited’ moments. Keeps things interesting. Franchising has been my world since 1994, now owning a junk removal and moving business. It’s provided a great life, and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m looking forward to watching Ryan and Gabby continue to build their lives, and hopefully, welcoming more grandkids into the mix.” my story is something I would not even change one thing. I’d go back and do it all over again.
